Kyjen Invincibles . . . . . Well, the squeakers are invincible. The toy itself is not. This toy was tested by Cheyla, a 70 pound American Pit Bull Terrier. She’s a fun-loving, rough and tumble beast of a princess. She’s dainty and rough, hyper and settled, and one of the biggest living dichotomies.
She fell in love with this toy. Kyjen was kind enough to send us two Invincibles. One had (yes, had) 6 squeakers and one had 3. Now, we got the one with 3 squeakers first. You would have thought someone gave Cheyla a million dollar check. No, forget the check, cash. She wagged and scampered and pattered and grunted and showed off. This is coming from a dog who has never liked squeaker toys. She prefers KONGS, tires, rubber rings and things of that nature. However, once she got her Invincible snake, she had eyes (nor teeth) for nothing else.
This toy has a very unique sounding squeaker. It can be heard all over the house and rings with an eerie squawk. It took her two days to figure out that she could make it squeak herself. Once she learned that, though, I had to start crating the snake for parts of the day to get some peace and quiet!
The snake is a very, very, very cute patterned, soft and cuddly critter. Kyjen paid attention to all of the details,
including the eyes and tongue.
I’m proud to say that my Kyjen Invincible has not suffered any real damage. As an APBT, she loves to play tug. As her snake was her new favorite toy, it’s one of the only ones she wanted to play with. Since the snake is *forever* long, well, hey, natural tug toy!
I was loathe to let her play tug with it for awhile. I was afraid it wouldn’t hold up. Never fear, though . . . . . It has held up *almost* perfectly. She split one of the side seams and that blasted squeaker came out. For about an hour, all she wanted was that *single* squeaker.
Let me tell you . . . . I thought it was loud IN the snake . . . . it’s even louder out of it! Eventually, though, she went back to her snake.
Her favorite is the long snake. She rarely plays with the shorter one, unless it’s the closest. The details on the both snakes have held up well and outside of that one split seam, the toy has been stellar!
The Invincibles come in two lengths (3 squeaker and 6) and two colors, red or green. Cheyla’s snakes are green and they seem much cheerier looking than the red ones. The red ones seem rather dark. On both colors, though, the detail is impeccable.
Oh, and for you retreiver owners or for owners of working dogs who shred toys . . . . this one has no stuffing! Never fear! And that squeaker will live on, even outside the toy! The nifty thing about the sqeakers is that even when they’re punctured, they don’t quit. They are truly Invincible.
I rate this product at a 4 out of 5. I would have happily given it a full 5 stars had that side steam not split within the first 48 hours. I don’t necessarily blame the toy, but Cheyla doesn’t shred toys, either. So, we’ll just call it a happenence that probably wouldn’t happen again. This toy is well worth the investment, especially for dogs that *must* have something in their mouths.

Hi there! This is Nicole from Kyjen. Thanks for reviewing our toy! Just wanted to let you know, we are in the process of fixing the seam problem. We’ve had a few other concerns with the seams splitting so we are redesigning! Keep your eyes peeled for our new toys and new invincibles!
Thanks!
You’re quite welcome! I’m definitely looking forward to the redesign.
